Benitoite and Neptunite Crystals on Natrolite
Beautiful cornflower-blue Benitoite crystals with jet-black Neptunite on a bed of white Natrolite.
These specimens are from a recently released batch of material which was mined 20-25 years ago.
There are dozens (too many to count!) of well terminated Benitoite crystals of various sizes on this specimen (ranging from just over 2 mm to 13 mm).
There is some chipping on the edges of a few of the crystals on the specimen edges. No damage to the crystals on the main body of the specimen.
This specimen is just loaded with Benitoite crystals! They are very aesthetic and show great contrast against the white Natrolite matrix!
Size of largest Benitoite crystal - 13 x 6 x 3 mm.
Size of largest Neptunite crystal - 8 x 4 x 3 mm.
A classic from a now-depleted locality!
