Quartz Crystals (cast) - ex Charlie Key

This is a really interesting specimen of Quartz crystals which have replaced another hexagonal species and formed a cast. The crystals are arranged in a very symmetrical herringbone pattern all over the prism faces of the original crystal. There are also some minor Schorl crystals on the specimen as well.

This specimen is from the Erongo Mountains in Namibia.

No damage to the crystal faces or edges on any of the crystals on the main body of the specimen!

Size of largest Quartz crystal - 5 x 3 x 2 mm.
