Duftite on Calcite - Type Locality!

A fine old specimen from the world famous Tsumeb Mine! This is a cabinet sized display piece with emerald green drusy Duftite crystals coating Calcite crystals. The label indicates that it was originally part of the collection of Otto Ray of Salt Lake City and was acquired in 1972.

Duftite is named after G. Duft, General Manager of the Tsumeb Mine and Tsumeb is the type locality.

Size of largest Calcite crystal - 60 x 40 x 30 mm.

The color and contrast of this specimen is exceptional! A "must have" for the type locality collector!
